How did Eminem and 50 cent not do a collab album with Dr Dre production? Am I crazy but this just seems like the craziest album that could had happened and never did. I'm just as impressed that even when I look up to see if there were ever rumors I see none. It just seems like a no brainer

Collab albums work best when both artists are established.

Eminem was pretty established when he signed 50 but 50 was still a newbie who just blew up

And 50 was feeding his own crew in G Unit and the Game.

Then, Eminem got paralyzed by Proof's death and Dre ended up losing his brother a few years after.

So, the opportunity never really came but "Encore"(the title track) and "Crack A Bottle" is the closest we ever got to that.

A Dre, 50, em album would of probably went double platinum first week.

I remember crack a bottle going number 1 with no video

If it dropped in 2006 or replaced "Curtis" in 2007, hip hop as we know it would have had a different trajectory.

I guess I was having a bit of tunnel vision since I'm revisiting 50 cent albums lmao. Wasn't thinking of the bugger picture. Regardless it's just crazy that not even rumors came out.

    What Bobby said.

But also; collab albums werent really a thing in the 2000s either.

Only Nas x Marley & Jay x Kelly come to mind, & thats artists of two diff genres.

Group albums were still poppin here n there, but collabs from two rappers not really, iirc.

    I gotchu.

It would've been super hyped for sure.

But Eminem and 50 were technically already doing tons of shows together around the world through the Anger Management tour.

In a perfect world 50 x Game collab album would have happened as well

Biggest question is how did 50 Cent never get a beat from Kanye or a song collab.

Grad "beef" aside, Kanye was a huge fan of 50 Cent & even has a video with a beat of 50 in mind in CD days, & the whole Grad x Curtis was all publicity anyways plus Ye & 50 have two albums before that.

Honestly, the Game beef and Proof's death marked the end of Shady/Aftermath reign in music from 99-05.

Nah, it should’ve came out a year after Curtis and came out the same day as 808s
