I love that Ye was feeling something, captured it and dropped it. Just like that. The span of time in which those feelings took place was very short so the output was short and simple.

Albums like TLOP and DONDA etc capture so much more and thus are longer and more chaotic. The music must be more complex as well.

“ye” proved to me that Ye simply knows exactly what to do with what he’s going through at the moment, and he doesn’t care about preserving a “streak” or “living up” to whatever people perceive about him. He did it again with JIK and he’s doing it again right now. No other artist does that as good as him imo
