Lordefam wya

Revisited this album a bunch of times since release and it’s just so weird. Some of the tracks with a little life are wonderful but the fully stripped down ones are just not it.

Lorde + guitar are not a fair mix, super hit or miss. It almost comes off as a bootleg take on Blonde. She doesn’t have the powerful vocals nor the emotional pen game of Frank.

However, there’s tracks like California, Big Star, Stoned at the Nail Salon, & Fallen Fruit which are simply gorgeous and outright therapeutic. I’ll always admire an artist for taking a risk so i’m glad we got this sound from her, it’s definitely overlooked and was pushed aside much too quick though I don’t ever see this getting mainstream love.

some of my IRLs weren’t able to get the book and uMusic were claiming everything was sold out.

i emailed them and said that in my order that i didn’t receive any of the books i ordered. they told me that they have a bunch available that they weren’t putting on sale, but i could get a reshipment.
