someone describe the sound to me.
The latter one is much more melodrama like but less angsty and less raw/smoother
Drums remind me of loveless

there’s a classic on the horizon.

all of you pussies who put her on #FRAUDWATCH after one below standard release, please evacuate the thread.

She’s gotta do good on this one can’t have two straight duds when you’re on a generational track like she was

To be fair coming out the gate with two classics by the age of 20 sets the bar higher than just par
Solar power wasn’t horrible but for an artist of her apparent caliber it was fairly horrible

imo those two albums she dropped excuses any subsequent weak releases, esp melodrama which i would argue is a generational pop classic
solar power definitely was lacking production wise and was lacking in strong vocal melodies compared to her previous work, however it still featured some gorgeous writing, and pretty strong cuts here and there (Man With The Axe, Dominos, Hold No Grudge, Stoned At The Nail Salon)
i feel like if she had went all the way towards that psych sound she was talking about for this album instead of getting scared off after having a bad trip, the album would’ve been worlds better, i still was largely satisfied w it though, but im a stan so eh
About to be 4/4 wow (haven’t listened)
