yeah I’d say it’s a classic

I love that the 2nd verse is shorter than the first, and she removed the pre-chorus. Oh and the gun cocking sound get s me every time. The whole album is so well-produced.

I feel like lorde doesn’t get the respect she deserves too. She’s like the architect of modern mainstream pop atm. Artist like Billie Eilish and Olivia rodrigo are both doing the whole calm quite falsetto voice that lorde originated when she first came out. She’s def gonna be that artist 20 years from now gonna have a cult following like a sade.

i hope she doesn't go light on the visuals with her next album, it sucks so much that melodrama only got two videos even though all the songs feel like scenes in a movie. all the other imagery she used suggests what could have been one of the best visual albums of all time.
