Jalen Hood-Schifino scouting report

I’m still dreaming of GG Jackson, Leonard Milller, Nick Smith, Lewis Maxwell….

Jalen is basically elite at the pick and roll.

He's good at scoring and passing out of the pick and roll. He's very patient and delivers accurate passes well during drop offs to bigs.

He's also a good on ball defender that uses his size and length well to guard scoring guards. Good at navigating screens.

However, he's a pretty inconsistent shooter. Not a good catch and shooter or pulling up from 3. Also doesn't put pressure on the rim and is a bit turnover prone.

Interested to see who has a better career, Nick Smith or Jalen Hood

Legit small forward size… we have plenty of forwards….

Maxwell Lewis is 6'7 with a 6'10 foot wingspan. He's very raw but has very high upside. Can be a really good 3 and D. If he reaches his potential, he can be a star.

Strengths

• Good at catch and shoot 3s especially when left open in the corner (shot 43.5%; smooth form)
• Scoring versatility (go to move is a step back; can drive and his length; good in the midrange)
• Athleticism (long and can attack in space; bothers defenders with length)

Weaknesses

• Settles for mid range too much (doesn't attack the rim enough; struggles to get separation off the bounce)
• Very raw on D (stands up offball alot; poor positioning)
• Playmaking (wired to score instead of pass; needs to make better decisions on ball screens)

Maxwell , Hood , Max all big for their position. I like all their prospects
