Is there honestly a better vet big than Tristan Thompson… he’s a champion, who knows his role.. didn’t look bad last year. He can be a good mentor to Jaxson Hayes to reach his potential. Thompson and Hayes both played at Texas for college. Thompson has had a long and solid career. Thompson could teach Hayes how to make an impact on defense and rebounds

JHS can’t dribble to the rim? bro are you even watching these games lmao

I was about to say this, but I couldn't even be bothered lmao

He has to get a screen. I want to see him cross someone up, or just blow by a guy. Seems limited

Maxwell Lewis' 4-year contract with the Lakers:

First two years are fully guaranteed with salaries around $1.1 million for 2023-24 and $1.4 million for 2024-25.

Partially guaranteed ($100K) for 2025-26 and a team option for 2026-27.

Good news is that we finally signed a second rounder to a 4 year contract with Maxwell Lewis.

Bad news is that we're gonna go through the same thing we just went with Austin Reaves with Max Christie next year.

If Max Christie completely balls out like he has been, some team with cap space might give him a poison pill contract.

i dont think max will ball out to the degree that reaves did last season, that's a tall order.

crazy i want him to make that leap like Austin did but at that same time dont want him to go too crazy and earn a crazy big contract lol

So glad they added the Pelinka rule in the CBA.

Giving 2 year deals with our elite scouting department have been working against us for years.

Gonna be wild when Maxwell is in the rotation balling out making about 1 million a year.

Based on what Rob is saying I think we're gonna go for Christian Wood for the vet min or convert Castleton's two way contract around training camp like we did Austin.

"Ham played an active role with the Lakers’ free-agent efforts partly because he wanted players with a no quit personality.

Ham stressed Rob Pelinka, the Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager, and the rest of the front office did the ā€œheavy liftingā€ with managing the salary cap and charting out their free-agency goals."

I think Max could ball out but I don’t see a Reaves rise.Reaves was our main guard at times in the year, ball was in his hands. He had so much opportunity with AD and Lebron injuries…. Max will likely be our 4th guard plus Lebron is a ball dominant player….

We should have draft Cam Whitmore

    JHS

    • can’t shoot
    • slow
    • not athletic
    • below the rim player

He can’t dribble to the rim past anybody in summer league. Imagine in the NBA. Rob dropped the ball big time. He fell in love with size smh. JHS wouldn’t have been a draft prospect if he was 6’0

Dude has played what 3-4 summer league games and the jury is already out huh? ctfu

Jalen has actually looked quite good the last 2 games

So u think if we don’t draft the next Ja Morant that the guy isn’t a good player?

He has good size, patience, and feel for the game. Looks really solid in the midrange and a good P&R player. I don’t have these weird expectations for him to become some superstar…but he can certainly become a good piece in due time

BIG guard, great in the PnR already, court vision, high IQ, can get to the line (needs to work on FT shooting). can finish with both hands, creative finisher, great defender. A lot of positives to his game

I already trust him to be a backup PG. DLO is injury prone so he's most likely gonna get some minutes this season.

His ceiling depends on how well he develops as a shooter.

If his shot becomes consistent and just above average, he can be an elite point guard in this league.

Definitely needs that shot but I like his game (outside of a couple aesthetic things). Bro is a high IQ player waiting to happen

    See some MCW, and Haliburton
