The problem is the Buss family doesn't have as much money as a lot of other owners, it is all tied into the Lakers. So even though the Lakers are valued higher than other teams in order for the Buss family to see that money they would have to actually sell the Lakers.

Us being cheap have led to some bad player decisions lately and might be the reason we even hung onto Ham sandwich for as long as we did.
