what we need at the other guard spot is someone who can hit 3s, play defense, and plays fast/athletic. Max fits the mold perfect. Our backcourt of DLO and Reaves suck too much on defense. We already have a 40 year old starter, and then we going try to add another player past his prime in Klay. I would rather just develop Max, I think he can fit that role

Max in theory fits that role but he is far from a finished or trusted product in the NBA. He still needs time

If we expect to compete we need to trust our starters and key rotation players
