"After graduating from the University of Southern California, Ramadas spent more than a decade with the Aerospace Corporation before his first opportunity in the NBA with New Orleans.
"He's a literal rocket scientist," a Pelicans source told ESPN.
While working for the Pelicans, Ramadas implemented AI and coded models to aid the front office, the source told ESPN."

Rohan Ramadas will be in charge of cap, a***ytics and data.
Rob still needs to hire one more assistant GM to oversee "player draft and evaluation processes,".
That person's role will be pro scouting, draft scouting, player development.
"While the Pelicans own just this one second-round pick, sources say New Orleans is exploring ways to move up in the back end of the first round.
The Pelicans have called both the Lakers and Cavs about trading into the first round.
However, potentially leveraging Herb Jones in an offseason trade could result in the Pelicans securing a top-20 pick in this year's draft. At this time, the Pelicans have yet to make Jones, Trey Murphy III, or Zion Williamson available in trade talks."
Tarris Reed Jr improved his draft stock after the combine and could be selected late first round/early second round
He's a center that Lakers can get. He shares an agent with Reaves.
Bruiser type big. Similar to Day'Ron Sharpe.
Would prefer him over Henri Veesar.

resume is definitely interesting

It’s Windy so who knows
Windy dont know s*** lol. I think there is an appeal for Bron to go to Cleveland for obvious reasons but if the max they can pay him is MLE i cant imagine we counter offer more than 20 mil to try to convince him to stay

i'd rather sign and trade bron than resign him if rob can get a starter and a pick or a trade exception to use for another playoff rotation-level player
with bron we're still not a contender next season so it would end with us still not winning the chip, bron retiring, and getting nothing for him.
"The Los Angeles Lakers informed more than a dozen employees Wednesday they were being laid off as part of a reorganization under new franchise leadership, a source familiar with the situation told ESPN.
The layoffs Wednesday affected various departments including marketing, team communications, team content and corporate partnerships, sources told ESPN."

are the Rambis’ gone
No
Kurt Rambis has been interviewing candidates with Rob for the assistant gm positions
Linda is Jeanie's best friend and has been with the Lakers for 20+ years. She's not getting laid off.
Draft season approaching yall
Alot of the guys that I like went back to college or increased their stock.
But here's some guys to keep an eye on
Joshua Jefferson
Henri Veesaar
Amari Allen
Zuby Ejiofor
Out of all the guys I just named, I would choose Joshua Jefferson.
He's a 6'8 forward who has high IQ and good feel. He's a really good passer and basically a point forward. Also a great defender that has good hands and knows where to be and very switchable on D. Can score inside. His main weakness is his shooting (34% from 3).
Most mock drafts have Lakers choosing Henri Veesar. He's a 7 foot center that shot 41% from 3 but he's not switchable on D and not the greatest defender. He has good basketball IQ but he's not much of a lob threat. He's also skinny af.
Veesar fits with Luka because he can stretch the floor but I don't trust his 3 point shooting (He shot 61% from the free throw line; red flag) and he will probably be a drop coverage big since he can't switch. I honestly wouldn't draft him.
I wouldn't be mad if Rob traded the pick too.

Amari Allen going back to school

LMAOOOOOOO smh
Zuby Ejiofor. He's an undersized athletic 6'9 forward that played PF/C in college mocked around late first / early second round.
Lakers could get possibly get him at 25th if they really like him.
there's 2 other notables that are mocked in the second round
Billy Richmond
Coen Carr
Both forwards. Neither can shoot. Coen Carr might end up going back to school.
Rob can buy a second round and get Billy Richmond, which I'm hoping he does.
Billy Richmond is staying in the draft.
Would be a good pickup if Rob somehow gets a second round pick
