If we do a sign and trade, then he's gonna have a multi year contract. If it works, then great. If it doesn't, then we're stuck with a bad contract that's hard to move like Vando.

If we don't do a sign and trade and just give him a 2 year contract, then he's most likely going to have a player option.

If he does great, then he leaves for more money and we're doing this again next free agency. If he doesn't, he opts in and we have to deal with a headache until the deadline next year.
