ā€œOur main priority is defense,ā€ Sandro Makukelashvili said.

ā€œMaking sure we rotate correctly, making sure we are physical, we communicate, and I think that has been the tone for the past two days, making sure we're connected on defense and we're moving the right way.ā€

    How'd you get banned again?

I refuse to believe it was a ban just from calling Macklemore a cornball
my theory is I couldn’t log back in post mute or something due to having closed the Twitter acct originally associated with it idk

    happy to have you back

Power forward options so meh I say just throw Thierro out there and hope for the best, at least there’s upside there for him to produce something special whereas you know what you re getting from Laravia, goofy over dribbling and an inefficient 6 and 4

Ziare Williams has been getting alot of praise in training camp recently

Depending on how preseason goes, I think he might get it over Laravia

    happy to have you back

Preciate that, Couldn’t miss the season

Love what I'm hearing from everyone about the defensive infrastructure of this team.

There seems to be this overarching chip on everyone's shoulder based on all the chatter from this offseason and I think it's really motivating these guys

Love what I'm hearing from everyone about the defensive infrastructure of this team.

There seems to be this overarching chip on everyone's shoulder based on all the chatter from this offseason and I think it's really motivating these guys

A few offensive notes from today's practice:
-- JJ Redick anticipates the Lakers ranking higher in paint touches, offensive rebounds, and 3-point volume.
-- LA has specifically looked to expand its early offense beyond just drag.
-- Austin Reaves said the offense would be "free-flowing" twice and mentioned LA running fewer ball screens.

I'm loving what I'm hearing on offense too

  • Austin Reaves on the Lakers' defense:

"Let me tell you, trying to score on Matisse and Ziaire, especially with Adou out there too, and then Walker on the back line, is not easy.

I had to deal with that all day yesterday and today and it's not fun. Defensively, we're gonna be much better.

Those guys compete every possession and everybody else fills in their roles and plays the right way. I see how special we can be."

  • JJ Redick reiterated that they had to modify the practice workload for a couple of players today.

When asked if that’ll potentially cause those players to miss preseason games, he said: ā€œThat’s TBD. There’s nothing long-term we’re worried about.

  • Jake LaRavia said this is the best training camp he’s been a part of since he’s entered the league.

He said he can tell the entire team is ā€œcommittedā€ to one goal.

  • The LA Lakers have named former KTLA anchor and reporter Derrin Horton as the new PA announcer

Trying to hide his hatred of Dalton lmao

  • Matisse Thybulle says he’ll leave the decision on whether he starts or not to the Lakers coaching staff:

ā€œFor me, if my teammates are happy with how I'm playing, if the coaches are happy with how I’m playing, that's a good sign to me that I'm doing a good job.ā€

Matisse on guarding Luka and Austin Reaves:

ā€œI mean you have to work so hard. They are so talented. For me it’s great because getting to play against two of the greatest offensive players in the NBA everyday just primes you."

"Practice is definitely going to be harder than the game.ā€
