Who you guys like @28 Nico Mannion might be on the board and he has game. Get more spend and home grown talent.

Lmao at the last sentence
Windhorst had an interview with the folks over at SSR and this is something interesting that I took from it:
“There’s a deal out there for them for another guard. That would be interesting. I’ll see if they actually go forward with it. It’s a guard on the last year of his contract who was great last year for his team and that team may be looking to move him. That would be interesting. But, I say pay the guys, you have the money, and not only do you bring the team back and bring them back sort of happy, but, you also prepare yourself for the next layer of transactions, which you’re eventually going to need to refresh this team down the road.”
Two names immediately came to mind.

Schroder/🌹
i wish Mike Conley’s contract wasn’t so crazy, he’d fit perfectly and would be able to get him cheap since he had such a down year with Utah

From San Diego State, he looks good too. I was bored this evening so i did a little research on the draft class. People are down on the draft because there isn’t a lot of superstar potential players but the class is filled with guys who can be solid starters and good role players in time. It’s also loaded with solid point guard prospects, deepest spot. I actually think a developmental PG who can be 3rd stringer and brought along would be wise.
Look at the youth on the team
C- Cacok (24) - I like his potential to be a defensive big, who boards. Could be a Backup center in the future
F- Kuzma (25) - might be gone in the future. I’m one of his few fans
SG- Caruso (26) THT (19) - Caruso basically hitting his prime now. He found his role last year as a defensive guard, bringing good ball iq, athletic ability, who is a solid glue guy. He could slide in starting lineup but I like him off the bench. THT has flashed, and transformed his body. He is developing his shot, didn’t play bad in playoffs. He can get to the rim, and has defensive potential with that wingspan. Still so young, probably would be top 20 pick in this draft class. I think he can be a rotation player in the near future. We are good in development with shooting guards
Youth Needs:
PG- like I said would be nice to have a quick guard in developmental. Look how much of a difference Rondo made. Need someone who can penetrate and make the game easy.
Big 6’7- 6’8 3 & D swingman SF/SG- this could be a bigger need if we trade Kuzma
stretch 4 PF- again if we trade Kuzma this could be a need. Morris might get paid and leave, guy is in his prime and cash out. If we package Kuzma would need a stretch 4.
I think Cacock and THT are good prospects for C and SG. Wouldn’t be mad at all if we keep the #28 and buy a second round. Fill two needs. I think there is solid talent 1-60, and I like how we draft. I know we are in win now mode, but I think our roster can handle 2 rookies.
If the tax cap is indeed $132, that will effect our MLE and off-season plans.
the $109 for salary cap was expected. Not ideal of course. I trust Rob.

I think the tax line is 132, the apron is still the 139 that we were hoping for (I may be wrong)
