at least Danny has some gravity and spaces the floor for AD/Bron and plays pretty good defense. Demar is easier to double off of than Russ is

You’re disregarding the fact that Derozan’s mid-range game >>>>>>>> Westbrook’s, not to mention he gets to the line and is an 85% free throw shooter.

Derozan is coming off a season where as a perimeter player he shot 53% from the field.

He’d be the third option with bron and ad drawing attention, that’s the context

ideally if he were to score off of Bron/AD he’d spot up in the corner or opposite wing but he doesn’t shoot threes so is he gonna spot up in the 18foot territory? he could probably still spot up behind the line and still have some value as a catch-and-drive threat or even an off ball slasher, but he has no gravity and teams will be able to gameplan in a similar way we did with Houston

i’d rather focus on someone like Dinwiddie

Derozan is clearly a talented player but not certain i love the fit

I have no doubt he’d start shooting more 3s and like I said before sure there are more ideal options, but if this were to be the only one especially with us not having to give up our pick, you take this and run because it’s a steal. Kuzma and DG in no way are worth keeping over derozan. Dg is easily replaceable, not to mention I think this would clear the way for Bradley and KCP starting.

I would never argue that Demar isn’t better than DG/Kuz i just don’t think it’s the ideal situation to use two of the key trade pieces we have. Also you never know because i think the article said that it would INCLUDE DG and Kuz, so the pick or other pieces could still be included

I think McGee and cook would work, but if that could get Oladipo or Spencer then I’d definitely prefer those two.

Agents still use organizations to get what they want. I’m sure Derozan wants out of San Antonio... agents work trades... when some sorry organization like Clippers or Wizards see the Lakers are linked to a player, they get all thirsty for that player. Everybody wants to be like the Lakers and win titles.

i honestly don't believe any of these rumors in terms of trades or who we're interested in.

Rob has plans all the way through 2028 at this point. he knows what's he's doing. let's trust him
