We got Gasol and AD who we'd be managing their minutes there and we don't want Trez getting worked down low like he did in the offs, so bringing in another center to get a few minutes in here and there wouldn't hurt while we let him work at the 4

It’s not that complicated. We don’t need a backup 5... position less basketball. Not like there are a lot of backup centers around the league who always eat in the post. This game is about pick and roll and the 3 ball, and being athletic. Sure against starting center Trez would struggle but against backups center, they will be bbq chicken. Trez too athletic...

We should sign another center as insurance to Gasol. Man is old, so higher probability of getting hurt. We are talking about a 3rd string center who won’t get much pt unless an injury
