the player on a BAE is not starting over KCP who makes 13m a year. I thought they’d be starting together but now if Dennis has been guaranteed a starting spot, KCP will be starting next to him

For the sake of lineups & combinations he fits better with the bench unit and can provide needed offense w/ LeBron getting rest

I like his fit with the 2nd unit better too but whatever, sounds like the team really has him in their long-term plans so if he wants an expanded role they're more inclined to give it if they want to keep him beyond this season.

As for who starts with him in the back court, or whether he even starts at all, I truly couldn't care less as long as Frank works out the minutes right. Realistically you'd want either him or Bron on the floor at all times, then staggering Bron and AD you fill out the ancillary pieces. More interested in who closes for us anyway.

We'll probably get more clarity on this when he speaks with the media in about an hour.
