A few have mentioned it on Lakers Twitter but I'm almost to the point where I think he might ask to be dealt. He's in a contract year on probably the deepest roster in the association. Even if we weren't THAT deep, he wasn't stealing touches from LeBron James or Anthony Davis lol. He's got a ring, he's tryna get paid. He won't have an opportunity to show out here, he might opt to want to do that elsewhere.

He plays well and gains value = he gone (we trade him)

He plays like ass and loses value = he gone (we let him walk)

He plays decently and fits well and doesn’t command a gnarly amount of $$ = he stay

Honestly I don't think so, they'd want to close out with AD at the 5. Only 3 players I feel very confident in closing are Bron, AD, and Dennis, last two spots are fungible.

yeah good point. I know he sees his contemporaries getting big contracts. I don't think it will be a problem but if he starts to sit for long stretches and feels not involved he may get disgruntled and ask quietly for a move elsewhere. Especially since he and Laker nation aren't in great terms.
