But the contract he turned down initially was bigger than what we ended up offering him. So is it really the Pistons fault?

It was for 5 yrs, 80, and what he’s gotten out of the team so far is 4 yr, 50 (including this season). So next season it be at 5 yr, 63 so he swapped that remaining 17 for a ring (or two).
