the 5 position is so easy to fill, it’s basically either you go the route of someone like Myles Turner, but if you don’t then it’s just literally any 5 that can defend the paint, finish around the basket, and rebound the ball decently. That’s it and there’s no need for anyone who does anything more than that. Damian Jones could start the entire season next to AD and we could win a championship because the 5 spot is a revolving door of the Dwight/Javale archetype as long as AD is on the Lakers.

We prioritized center with Drummond and got a downgrade in finishing at the basket, a lob threat, and I'd even argue paint defense from a guy we had on 10-day contracts in Damian Jones man lmfao. When you're a team with Anthony Davis, thinking you need to run twin towers is negating the advantage that Anthony Davis gives you, while also taking away room for LeBron James to operate inside.

They say build teams inside out, but when you have AD and LeBron you're already built better inside than pretty much everyone else. FOCUS OUTSIDE!!

Agreed, MLE should be spent on a wing or backcourt player. Get a center with the minimum, centers aren’t and shouldn’t be a priority when AD plays a chunk of time at the 5 in the playoffs.

A rookie PG can’t really help this team, it’s insane to put that pressure on a rookie pg who not even a lottery pick

Does Lebron get along with Derick Rose 🌹? He would be the perfect PG to pick up if we can’t land Lowry. He’s an actual PG who understands how to control tempo, play smart, and can shoot. He also wouldn’t be scared. Believe it or not, a lot of people can’t handle being a laker. You play for the most popular team and have a lot of clout. I think New York might get a PG with a Max deal. Rose is 32 and coming off a good season. Should be solid for another 2-3 years
