Dude needs to come through for this franchise. Carry this team like he did in 2020 during the finals run. AD should be able cement his legacy with a monster 4-5 year run in his prime. A lot of people don’t understand that the lakers didn’t run it back with the same roster following their chip because they knew the warriors were going to be the leading contenders the following year. They tried to improve the roster because they knew a healthy klay and steph made the warriors a better team with addition to their #1 pick. They tried to bring another playmaker in Schroeder (and then Westbrook) because their biggest issue the last two prior seasons was lebron being injured which was a result of him being the primary ball handler. Remember, lebron was injured prior to the shutdown before the bubble. He also had the missed the most amount of games of his career the last two seasons. Danny Green sucked for us and the lakers decided to upgrade javale with Montrezz which at the time looked like a good move on paper. I think letting KCP and Caruso go was what really hurt us. Looking back I think Pelinkas problem is that he tried to think too far ahead in his moves that it messed up the chemistry and defensive mindset of the team. The team following the bubble still had a #1 rated defense. That’s the real team we should have tried to retain.

I was fine with Schroeder and Harrell. It was worth the gamble to get the 6th man of the year and Schroeder. Sucks it didn’t work out. Getting rid of Mcgee, Dwight, Caruso really messed up the defense, the size, and chemistry tho… we expected Marc Gasol, THT to be impact players and that never happened. Should have kept all 3 those guys. Team wasn’t the same
