RegionsEast LouisianaVanilla Louisiana. This is what you think of when you hear about the state. Football and beads all day every day. Has Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the stubby little boot tip parishes that nobody really talks about.
West LouisianaLike somebody got Cajun in your Texan. Lots of cows. Lake Charles is the NOLA of the region, or at least that's what we tell ourselves. 1/4 of us work in plants and another 1/4 work in casinos. Anything west of Lafayette has its own, distinctly twangier subculture.
North LouisianaBasically Arkansas, but with paper mills and military bases. At least three hills. Shreveport and Alexandria are BFFs. Has a persecution complex, so be nice to them. The boring part of the state. Sorry, y'all.
