Aniya may be asking a direct question but what she is looking for is REASSURANCE which is something KC can't give her. He can say that she's his first option but he can't say that he isn't interested in Sol. He can't give her reassurance because that would be fake.
he needs to tell her he wants to explore Sol. she may cry, she may pout, she may close things off but it's better that she knows how you really think.

which is why i think he is being truthful when he says he's trying to weigh the risk of even TALKING to Sol because doing so puts in him in an unfortunate predicament just for exploring.

zach and kayda is weird, i dont like zach vibe he just feels like the defintiion of punchable face, but just as a personality
and the way that zach operates he's very game aware when he speaks, and he watched his brother play, so he is even more suited to play the system.
just makes it feel like giving them the hideaway will keep them locked in. obviously they're try to send people to split that up, but he just seems like he's playing the game than being authentic. all his shots are at other potentially strong couple contenders while him and kayda havent explored at all
