Nah they’re standalone

There’s a few callbacks to season 1 and a couple of characters from it pop up but it doesn’t rely on it to tell this story

S2E1 was pretty good

He wasn’t perfect himself I mean first episode him f***ing up per the phrase, so I guess he saw the humanity thru her decision eso after seeing his sis get married to the ex that cut her dreads off…and found himself able to forgive her.

But she wasn’t anymore “redeemed” than he was to me. It happens. I do feel like we only got to get to know her more a little to late or not enough and it felt like a different end note than I was expecting. Still decent tho. Camping trip was wild lmao
