  • This why I only try to date artists / creative people. More likely to find them admirable

    The grass ain’t greener bruh

You’re lost if you can’t see beauty in the feminine, you want a more masculine kick find u some homies. Can’t expect ur girl to fill that role and simulate your every intellectual need, females just ain’t wired like that in fact you give them the ick and turn them off when u overload them with your depth.

On the off chance when u find a girl that matches ur intellect and substance the dynamic turns into a cat and mouse, it will feel more like living with a roommate then a partner by ur side

I don't feel like I'm asking for a lot though. I've met and dated women who I admired/respected more, they just didn't like me back enough or I was on bullshit

  • so... you're search for someone to have a tighter connection with like you can bounce off them with ease and you're both are at the same wave-length on a plethora of topics and want similar things out of life?

at the moment from what you've described it sounds like a friends with benefit + scenario like you're just buddies who f***, however you can't see it panning out long-term.

I suppose we just have different ideals as I don’t look to women to be admired or impressed by to begin with

I’ve had girls straight up tell me they like when I’m in control, or think and plan for them -“leaving my brain at home” when they’re with me maybe you need to do less miring and imbue more nonchalance

  • I get how you feel. Like they're cool but they ain't your queen type shyt yuh

man, this is just how I feel now

    and it's f***ing killing me

cause from a perspective she's the best, but there's something big in myself that I feel like I have to abandon to be with her

and I'm not sure if I can do that or if I should, cause man, I already feel like I've lost something with her, ever since she left 1 month ago

  • I've been with a person that was on my exact wavelength and found out that two people like me in one relationship is too much. Definitely fun for a while but lasted alot longer with my partner that is closer to what you described.

some people are gonna think you’re a dismissive pompous a****** but I feel you, it’s a fair realization to make.

with that being said you also have to realize you’ll never meet someone who fills every single one of your needs. If you love debating odd topics (for example), then you can find a friend that fills that role.

personally, I like me a happy girly pop. I’m okay with delving into my niche interests with primarily my friends.

". I repressed it for years and ended up making the worst possible decision when dealing with it and went heavily against my morals"

    What you did

  • Sep 27

    You are positively a b****

  • my ex is a writer and intellectual. she was/is someone that I admire and that inspired me throughout our relationship. It's gotta be the same for anyone else I date in the future. I prefer someone who is artistic in some way. it doesn't really excite me if you just have ambition for more capital or something.

  • since my ex I've been pondering whether I want someone more or less similar to me.

Like another poster said, I think I'm okay with a happy girly pop cus f*** you mean I want to date another me?

I'd date me just not as myself. Wouldn't work. I'd just get s***ty at them.

  • This new girl been riding for me. She prays for me. Appears more motherly. Soon as she improves some other s*** I think she golden.

besides maybe delving into niche interests, are there any other things about her that give you pause? Not necessarily cause doubt but make you reflect.

that big in myself is my avoidant attachment style that refuses to die and allow myself to be loved and rely on others

Sounds to me this person isn't all that fascinating to their girlfriend either. But they haven't realized that yet because they have their head so far up their own ass to notice the signs she has been giving.
