kylie is a slapper
niggas sleeping on CTA 2 bach
I was making the stink face every second of that song on my first listen lmaoo
i’m still not fw the first half but it does pick up after kylie!! highlights for me rn are hustler musik, rip, and ski what it be
also somebody else said it itt but bro fr sounds like he’s bout to OD on the outro lmao
i been listening to lucki since body high and even though i get why people say it, i never felt like he got “worse” after 2020, he just changed and i still loved the music
sadly this tape is the first time i’ve legit been disappointed though. like it ain’t even bad but there is some soul missing here that the last three albums still had. plus the obvious resentment he holds towards his “old fans” comes off kinda lame, i don’t think he should fall into the same trap as uzi but it IS possible to appeal to that demographic and still be authentic. idk
This would have been a much more potent project if it started at Dotted Line or Kylie and just kept All Love Gerskiway and Biggavel from the first half + different sequencing. Damn near a different album
That’s a good question bro
Bro might go out like the underground king of the weirdo junkie rappers lmao reminds me of Spitta. If we looking at the junkie rap family tree lmao you got OG’s like Wayne and Future. Gucci too. Once you get to the 2010s you got dudes like Sosa and Lucki is apart of that lineage but it feels different bc he was considered a blog rapper. So the Curren$y comparison works on that level as well
Spitta is underground king of the weed rap and blog rap champion. He was able to work with Wale and Big Sean and do tracks with Wayne and 2 Chainz. His OG is obviously Snoop. Lucki started out working with Chance, Twigs, Danny Brown and now he’s collabing with Rylo and 42 Dugg
We watched Spitta and Lucki get big mainstream looks, both respected in the underground, influential, consistent, you know what you gonna get with their projects too
Lucki been active 10 years now he’s a vet. He’s really just coasting. His music is still good though. I could see him maturing in certain ways. Was listening to Chosen One last night. Reminded me that he can get in an introspective bag. Fans love his personal/heartbreak tracks. His lifestyle raps fire. He can find cool ways to talk about the side effects of the lifestyle as well. Idk if he’ll ever make music like that but bruh has decent ideas when he really tries so who knows
Bruh music is lit rn but I’ma always see him as somebody that actually knows how to rap. Not mad at the later projects though. As a longtime fan it’s cool to see newer fans catch on to other music
He’s like Curren$y if he did a few tapes with 808 Mafia Lex and then made that his whole sound
If anything he could learn from how Curren$y uses all type of beats. Like the equivalent for Lucki would be using the alt trap beat style as much as Spitta still uses Alc or Static Selektah or overall that type of sound

Hustler muzik got no soul?
Haven’t resonated this much w an album since freewave 3 n db4 3 it has the edge over FLM just a lil bit tho

He used to get on beats I could hear Curren$y on
Back when those beats were trending

Understand why he switched it up, part of me can see why it was necessary. When the SoundCloud era started poppin he leaned more into the type of sounds he used now. That’s when the Sosa influence became more apparent. He’s a Chicago nigga so it makes sense especially when you consider the Midwest connect with Detroit
