Love Unity Communication Yes? aka LUCY aka Cooper B. Handy already dropped two plugg albums this year, one with experimental producer I.V. (who works w Jackzebra among others) and an excellent album with Surf Gang called Jack & The Beanstalk, which already included some of my fav songs oty, like this one:

he's now dropped his third tape this year, self-produced, the ninth in his Cooper B. Handy's album series which goes back almost 10 years - I haven't listened to everything he's put out, but this honestly might be his best one yet.

it plays like a greatest hits album and includes all the sounds he dabbled w in the past and make his sound unique - his vocals are somewhere between singing, shouting and rapping and his beats are uniquely weird, putting everything from trap to footwork to weirdo bedroom pop to I don't even know in a blender - it's to me definitely the most fun, refreshing and unique album I've heard all year. highly rec
