I remember that he hyped WAVE, and said it was better than T&Y. He would be justified on that one.

Most ppl disagree with that though. I've always thought DW was better but I I legit never had anyone agree with me

I prefer Drogas Wave over Tetsuo & Youth as well. I thought I was the only Lupe fan in the world who did, lol

Both of them are phenomenal bodies of work, so you can't go wrong with either one.

Idk how to explain this but Drogas Wave feels like a combination of T&Y, TC, and F&L. Like the album got the wordplay and technicality of T&Y, atmosphere of TC, and rawness/soul of F&L.
