Can't stand when rappers rap about incoherent s*** on songs. You got a song with a hook saying one thing, but the verses are about a completely different topic.

What are some things you can't stand lyrically speaking?

Rapping about rapping (my flow/bars is so hot, etc) from about 99% of rappers is corny

Not really lyrical but when rappers go from just spitting in normal voice to shouting as if to over pronounce what they saying

Doesn't really have to do with lyricism, but when they start rapping fast and can't pick up what they're saying

i hate when an artist says a bar and then explains what it meant in the next line. it kinda kills the whole point of being clever in the first place.

That was a setup, to a punchline, about duct tape

Double-time rapping works well when it's for expressing the emotional value of the lyrics, but double-time flows where the lyrics are "my magical rattle energy sending enemy emcees to die in battle leagues" generic battle rap verses really zone me out of a track.
