I swear i think about this film several times a day since I saw it a week ago. Really hope i have time to catch it again before it leaves theaters. So many interesting things about it.
Come on man
Lol if you've come this far you have to finish it for the ending, it's so bad it's funny
Yeah the ending was terrible. So he conveniently figures out “oh the coral reef is our way out since the little boy gave me this message”
And he automatically figured out “all the guys at this hotel is bad let’s go save them now. “I wouldn’t drink that if I was you” :hah: :koolaid: How tf would this little nigga even know the drinks had anything to do with it?! And way to swim back just in time to stop the next arrivals from drinking the medicine :pharrellsmh:
I actually don’t mind the twist of the purpose of the island was to find cures. Honestly I would of just killed off the two kids and ended with the twist and them serving the drinks to the next arrivals. Rather than this convenient “let’s suddenly free ourselves and save everyone else because we know have the whole scam figured out”
Come on man
Come on what?
Movie was terrible
Not even close baby
Just watched this, was anticipating this a lot. Cool ass idea for a movie
But this was one of the most poorly executed movies I’ve seen in a minute. Horrendous acting, don’t know if if it was suppose to be a comedy in certain parts. Dumb ass camera angles and characters
Lmaooooooo
The mom slices the s\*\*\* out the doctor then shows him the knife and says “look it’s rust. It acts like poison in the blood stream” :koolaid:
This movie gotta be a comedy fr. No way this is a horror/thriller
Would’ve still smash old ass Chrystal, broken arm and all.
F***ing racist ass Charles
Camera work is the best part of the film and the acting was clearly intentionally directed to be off putting. I don’t get why people aren’t getting this. Like I’m so confident that if Ari Aster directed it exactly the same way, no one would even mention any of these elements as problems.

Lmaooooo y’all wildin
I went into this a little hyped. I like some of M. Night s*** like Six sense, unbreakable and I LOVE Split
The concept of this film seemed really dope and the twist was cool.
But it’s the acting and writing that really drags this s*** down. I think someone like Ari would of executed this s*** properly.

Also the camera work was terrible.
Especially that shot near the end:
“Oh lemme weirdly zoom in on this drink to say: LOOK LOOK that’s the medicine we showed earlier, LOOK this manly unknown figure just bumped into the lady holding the drink I wonder who it could be?!”
And to make it worse he says the terrible line “I wouldn’t drink that if I was you”
Niggas was expecting The Godfather or somethn
Good, entertaining lil flick
This is a terrible post. I don’t think anyone was expecting a godfather tier movie. Be real.
Why y’all mad at us for pointing out basic movie flaws? Terrible acting and terrible dialogue should be allowed to be called out, especially when coming from an established filmmaker.

Because y’all mad as s*** quoting everyone itt that did like it
It was a fun movie for an easy going movie watcher such as myself. I don’t think it was a classic or anything but I was entertained throughout it

I already said the concept itself is cool, and the twist was cool. I like some of M. Nights movies. Split is a classic.
Everything I pointed out is basic film 101 that an established filmmaker should not be failing at. Such as allowing bad acting and bad dialogue.
