Windows laptop died on me last night, making the move back to Mac
I can get a boxed/sealed 2019 MacBook for £1.5k (link below is retail price + full specs)
argos.co.uk/product/1954375
I‘m mainly going to be using it for Adobe, CAD & music production.
For the price I can get it for, is it worth it? Do the specs still hold up? Or are the M1 models going to make this model redundant in a few years? My budget is 1.5k & if I opt for an M1 model the RAM and storage would have to be significantly lower as well as a smaller screen size which is making me think it’s not worth it.
Opinions & advice pls thnx
Great deal tbh i bought my 16gb i7 512gb for 2200 brand new
How’s it holding up? You tryna upgrade any time soon?

I have one for work and I love it. Does pretty much everything I could want it too, except maybe have better battery. That being said I can’t justify buying an intel Mac in 2022 (like others have said)
Even the M1 MacBook Air is probably a better buy for the money
I'll probably get a Mac Mini for my next computer cop

But is the Air fine for Ableton?
But is the Air fine for Ableton?
yes and once Ableton 11.1 comes out you won't need to use Roestta and it will run much faster via a Universal (Apple ARM) build of the App
