Hitboy gotta be the most overhated producer in rap right now.....and it mostly seems like displaced anger because Nas hasn't made an album with Preemo, Alchemist, Madlib, etc...
Sep 22, 2023·edited@Vibe It’s honestly tough to just pick 3. His discography is so big and he’s had so many different eras with different sounds. I’ll give you some from different eras I really like
2000s
2010s gets more tricky because it’s when he started to really evolve his sound from more traditional style beats (Soul/Jazz sample with a drumbreak) into sampling more rock and electronic stuff and doing straight drumless beats
Then in 2017 - 2018 he started getting really good at the drumless stuff and also started focusing more on the textures and really how his drums hit
