Idk man the terrible reviews kinda lessened the hype for me a while back. Trailer didn’t do much for me either

Under the Silver Lake was s*** on by critics pre release and that turned out to be a phenomenal film
Palo Alto one of my favorites, hope Gia goes 2/2 w/ this
Shoulda just called this No One Special...
Very intriguing trailer tho. AG is so interesting to watch
this isnt good but its def not about "social media bad" like ppl were saying

UTSL is crazy! and Palo Alto score is one of the best of the decade
You watched?
yeah, it kind of is too lazy to really explore its subject matter and ultimately decides to play it safe in a way thats moralizing and hypocritical imo. still i'd rec it because at its best its fun and formally interesting
The best thing about this is Andrew’s performance and Dev’s score. Maya was solid too but it just didn’t grip me. I get what it was trying to say and it was saying it decently at times. There’s mainly some plot decisions that didn’t mesh with me and some of the editing choices didn’t work.
It’s watchable so if you want to hear a good score (especially if you’re a Blood Orange/Dev Hynes fan) and see a good performance from Andrew Garfield then I would check it out.
3/5, probably won’t watch again
I just finished it. Worth the watch for Garfield's performance, his acting is the best part of the whole movie. Maya, not so much IMO.
Trailer had me hype but it didn't live up to it tbh
I was surprised to hear Earl Sweatshirt's "Riot!"
Started well but it fell off in the middle for me
¿One montage and he is already a worlwide star? Felt rushed to me but you can say that's the speed of today's internet
It was funny to see Jake Paul in this considering his brother situation at the forest in Japan and the clear inspiration from their videos
Andrew Garfield was having fun, felt Maya Hawke was just there

Very well said, just got out of the theater for this and would agree
