The contrarian s***ting on everything gimmick sucks. You're not actually making anyone angry, you just look like a miserable person

I’m not trying to hate on OP I mean if they feel that way it’s their opinion but damn like nothing stuck with you??

  • I'm anticipating the moment when Doechii and Meg puts out better projects, and then THAT'S when we'll see y'all make threads about Cole's album wasn't that bad in retrospect and we overhated Habbiti

  • K DOG 99

    Since GNX and including it

    Rocky
    Keem
    Cole
    Don
    Clipse
    Drake
    Carti
    Ye

All dropped good and enjoyable albums to me so idk what kinda gotcha you are trying to say

You just think "mainstream" music is lame and that's clearly your opinion

    Only clipse tbh

I think Drizz about to go on a crazy Atlanta feature run again just to drive the point of leading the game home.

He starting off on a bad foot then ran to atlanta the worst song lol

    Nope.

If y'all are labeling "LGSEO" as mainstream, then that should be the blueprint of how s*** should be done.

From the rollout to the quality of the music.

I'm just used to how s*** used to be being spoiled with Ye, Jay, mixtape era Wayne etc. With cats dropping classic after classic.

Nowadays folk just s*** out over bloated slop to rack up streaming numbers or simply don't know how to compose an album.

Like, y'all hyping up this Carti f***er & he drops whatever tf "MUSIC" was is like

    Straight sock chewer tunes.

I commend the big 3 from the 2010's for keeping s*** somewhat from being insufferable. But even they are past their prime.

"GNX" being the best outta' the big 3 is nothing special cause we know they're capable of more.

It just seems the "Want to" to make timeless art is non-existent anymore & cats are just worried about numbers.

Numbers doesn't make the project good.

Back in 2000's we both quality & numbers.

I just want to see mother f***ers try is what I'm saying.

which is why I prefer underground cats now cause they're always putting out s*** like rent is due & actually care about the art.

Idk how old you are but you seem around my age (early 30s) and I hear your criticisms of modern music but idk man at this point in my life I’m looking for something I can just enjoy and live with. I used to be more invested in the theatrics but honestly times have changed and I think shifting my mindset has allowed me to appreciate things more. I’m more of a “my generation” type of listener but I don’t think that’s really unique I’d say most people have a range that they grow fond of and carry with them. Just saying bro maybe give things another chance or turn over a new stone or two here and there and you may find something enjoyable

I just feel like how these new cats are approaching the genre's blasphemous cause they're dumbing down a genre that used to be great & a dominant force in the music industry.

You see the interviews & it sounds like they can't even compose a proper sentence.

That's what the future of the cultures in.

I'm sure we'll get legit students of the game someday, but rn it's rocky.

It's all about "vibes" nowadays, but we had vibes that were dope & well put together back then.

I'mma be 32 in June which is still relatively young, but I just can't mess with any of these artists.

Like Idk how Don Toliver & Carti's popular while Key Glock & Sauce Walka ain't blowing up.

    Maybe I am just old

I don't consider Clipse mainstream anymore.

Ye was a surprise & a step in the right direction.

Keep / Rocky / Cole came & went.

    & Drake / Carti s*** the bed.

they're gonna hate on you for saying this but this is exactly how ktt responded to all of these albums lol

first it was "rap is boring as f*** right now everyone's dropping duds" now it's "we had a lot of good releases actually"

irregardless of ur opinion don toliver makes way more accessible music than key glock or sauce walka bro

like its not a conundrum to see why he might be more popular

key and sauce are good rappers but ur doing them a disservice with that comp tbh

  • Lord Quas

Cole Flopped, Wheelchair Jimmy laid 3 stinkers, ASAP came & went, etc.

Need that "Black Hommy" joint to restore the feeling.

Bro Cole and Drake both went in. You right about Rocky but everything else is wrong
