In all seriousness I’m concerned that Kenny, Drake and the guy in my avy might be the last lyrical superstars
You must be the wackest irl
Most music today like Tecca, Mosey is trash but lyricism isnt gonna completely die as people like JID, YBN Cordae are pretty popular with the mainstream audience
You new wave guys are somethin else.. you think that like the most basic bars without autotune and slurred speech are "lyrical"..
That's literally just basic rapping.. Christ the standards y'all have is LOW now
Ktt is full of fruit cakes who want to gossip about the personal lives of people they will never know. You could probably have more insightful music discussion on game chat of a COD lobby
Good luck having a discussion in a cod lobby lol

f***ing facts

Once again JID and Cordae aren't even lyrical their just guys who don't f***in sing or use melodies.. I don't really fw Cordae but JID is decent sometimes..
There's still majority of rappers like this in the underground.. not kidding i found like 15+ new rappers today on my lunch break just from searching related artists on Spotify. Who cares if their not popping.. they make WAY better music than mainstream music
Mainstream has always been pretty bad.. it's just the artists got worse over the years.
There’s plenty of lyrical guys or guys who have a bigger lyrical presence than just s***ting out ad libs over a beat.
They’re just not as mainstream but they’re here with good projects
Just hope that wave of new artist come that care about making full fledged projects that's it and yeah hopefully they're somewhat lyrical
I think itl happen within the next 18 months too. Last decade a lot of it was due to the mixtape era we'll see this time around
Uzi has some lyrical presence. He's got some witty punchlines and wordplay, and his flows/delivery is in my opinion much better than Travis, Carti, and Thug.
There's been a number of tracks I was genuinely surprised to hear Uzi snapping on. That's actually what made me a fan of him back when all them "lil" niggas started popping up. One of the few dudes who actually showed serious potential.
