they need to take a good listen to this example and realize they have all the (maybe even better) ingredients to punch out quality hits. I don't like the lane they're in right now. Either go full pop or stay in the alt rnb lane like your first EP. The middle road is going to take them straight to irrelevancy.
This track sounds like a copy of Majid’s style for the mainstream

Yep! And if you want to blow with a Pop feature put him on the pop song. I love caught up but they wont blow of that. And Superstar aint it.
I just want to know who in their camp is making these decisions.

You sounding like me
OVO let they artists record whatever they want. But sometimes you need an executive producer/A&R to step in and guide an artist.
Same problem with Roy Woods Bubbly song would have been way bigger if somebody stepped in and told him to hold back on the cursing in the hook or tone the song down a little.
Sometimes artists need guidance.
Do whatever you want don’t always work.
Give bubbly to Post Malone and it’s #1 for 10 weeks cause his team would of rewrote the record more proper.

Exactly lmao. S*** not even touching any MJ songs smh.

I think Majid Jordan’s ambition is to make good music sticking to the style they like and people liking that. Not all artists have dreams of being at the top of the charts and to sell out arenas. These guys are doing an incredible job at making great music and making a good living off that

I think their albums are solid, the recent singles are a bit average

I thought for sure someone in their camp would’ve told them to have Khalid hop on a pop song instead of Caught Up.
i wish they did a whole mixtape of dancehall remixes
because that vybz kartel remix til this day
listened to their ep today for the first time in a awhile

I'm just upset they kinda f'ed up a khalid feature
I'm just upset they kinda f'ed up a khalid feature
the song is dope, but it doesn't go anywhere
it doesnt have much flow or drive, like it just kind of comes in a certain way and it stays like that
there's no buildup or energy
free bump, I heard, can't remember where, that they were dropping this year.
Highly possible. PND this month, Dvsn the next month so they are close as well. Majid had told he is goin back bahrain to record the project there and he is there or was there like a week back so it is close bros.

Man since The Space Between they've dropped 4 songs and just disappear.
But every one feels like a lead up to an album and they tweetin n s***.
Last two were kind of disappointing though.
The Space Between is so amazing still. Especially during winter
