they need to take a good listen to this example and realize they have all the (maybe even better) ingredients to punch out quality hits. I don't like the lane they're in right now. Either go full pop or stay in the alt rnb lane like your first EP. The middle road is going to take them straight to irrelevancy.

Yep! And if you want to blow with a Pop feature put him on the pop song. I love caught up but they wont blow of that. And Superstar aint it.

OVO let they artists record whatever they want. But sometimes you need an executive producer/A&R to step in and guide an artist.
Same problem with Roy Woods Bubbly song would have been way bigger if somebody stepped in and told him to hold back on the cursing in the hook or tone the song down a little.
Sometimes artists need guidance.
Do whatever you want don’t always work.Give bubbly to Post Malone and it’s #1 for 10 weeks cause his team would of rewrote the record more proper.

I think Majid Jordan’s ambition is to make good music sticking to the style they like and people liking that. Not all artists have dreams of being at the top of the charts and to sell out arenas. These guys are doing an incredible job at making great music and making a good living off that
