Summers Over live
One of the BEST shows Ive ever been to.
They did most of their new album, which is slower
Brought Naomi out for Waiting For You
She continued with a small set of Nothing Sweeter & Definition of Love
The boys came back and turned it to one of the best dance parties ever with all of their classics
Jordan is one incredible f***ing DJ. Majid vocals are on another level in 2024.
They did like 10 minutes of Give Me A Reason with Jordan losing his mind behind the boards and Majid serving vocals
One big singalong to Her, Give Your Love Away etc etc
Magical show
Im not used to smaller concerts being on the level of what Sampha and MJ did man. I traveled to Paris to see Jai Paul live last year and both Sampha and MJ s***ted on him performance wise
Fred would be working at mcdonalds if Jordan made a dance album
Alex Lustig opening set was incredible aswell. The HNVM tracks, In2deep remix & Live Up To My Name
After giving this album some time, I might have to put Good People at the bottom of their discog.
Not a bad album, but the chill vibes aren't what I want from them. At least not a full album. I always look to MJ for some cool dance/house vibes.
New Ranking
1. Space Between - Perfect blend of house, electro, R&B. The entire aesthetic of this album/era was perfect. Their most cohesive body of work.
2. Majid Jordan - Extremely wonderful album thats only gotten better with age. Definitely underrated in their discography. Songs like Make It Work, My Love, Small Talk, Pacifico, Shakex3, Love Is Always There, Warm...I can go on. This album has such a tight winter vibe.
3. A Place Like This - Short and sweet, but plays way longer. Great dance vibes and great slow songs with "Her" being arguably their best song ever
4. After Hours - Very well rounded. Chill songs, dance songs, slow songs. Definitely their most diverse album.
5. Wildest Dreams - Their most pop album. Although, Stars Align is a top 3 song OAT. This album still has great vibey music such as Summer Rain, All Over You (I include this song with the album), Waves of Blue, Love Unconditional. And how can we forget about the generational anthem Life Worth Living"
6. Good People - Like I said, it's just a little toooo chill for me. There's some great songs like Eyes Closed, Hands Tied, Slip, and Violet, but nothing that gets me up outta my seat.
They are still and will forever be my favorite group of all time.
Love these boys.
Found heaven and I dove right in
There's an angel waiting in my bed
Found heaven and it feels so real
You take me to the moon

Its a lovely change of pace imo and Im happy its part of their discog. Theres not 1 song Id leave out of Good People. But Im sure they’ll make more up tempo / dance tracks. They know what the fans want from them especially after seeing them last night. The entire vibe changed when they started doing their old/up tempo songs. Good People seems like something personal that they wanted to make, not something to please the fans
They also said theyre not taking another 5 year break and will be back on road soon
Here today, and gone tomorrow

Yeah Good People does have a personal feel to it. And like I said, it’s a good album. It’s just not something I’ll regularly go back to in their discography.
This album seemed like kind of a level set, or a reset for them. Getting back to their roots.
Very interested to see what they come with next.

Thank god
2 tracks in Majid recognized someone from their university, that he hadnt seen for 10+ years in the crowd. In Amsterdam
He later dedicated Chill Pad Deluxe to him. Dope ass moment

Just been at the show in cologne. Amazing performance. I didn't expect the crowd to sing along that much. Atmosphere was great. One of my best concerts ever

Anybody notice the similarities in the beat at the end of My Eyes by Travis Scott and Too Far by Majid Jordan?
From their mix back in 2015
