There was around a 4 year period where I was whipless and I always had a surplus of my check to save and spend how I wanted, it was great. And sure, having a car is nice, but all the expenses that come with paying on it, maintaining it, and insurance, to say nothing of how it basically enables you to bleed money here and there that you wouldn't otherwise and really adds up over time, its all gimped freakin baloney crap.
And when I finish paying my car off who knows how many more years itll last before pop-maintenance bills start becoming the new payment
Pay it off early. I bought new in 2021 with 5 year financing and I paid it early. Only paying for insurance, gas, and annual service
It sucks but no better feeling than driving your own whip that you worked hard for. Glass half full OP
You had a four year period where you had a bunch of surplus in your check and didn't use that to save up to pay cash for a car? L
Back in 2020 I sold a lot of my sneakers to pay off my car best thing I could did. I didn’t have to stress about it during Covid or in the future. It’s a 2014 Camry and my friend acts like it’s time to move on from it because sometimes I have mechanical problems but I rather pay 300 once in awhile in awhile than every 600 every month.

All you can do now is make better choices moving forward. Try to make extra money and pay the car of ASAP is my advice. Debt sucks

how dare you spend money on yourself when you should serve your boss through personal purchases from the moment you get salaried
thats why getting a cheap car is always the better move. Don't tryna be felix mcflexington and get an expensive car to boost social status, because car payments are the biggest headaches BUT you get to choose how much of a headache it will be.
