Just copped the M1 MacBook Pro and I’m looking for any quick hints and tips that you would give to a long-time Windows user. Tbh I’ve found the Mac OS a bit awkward in the past so just wanna make the transition smooth.
Appreciate any advice.

Tbh those new laptop Ryzen are better than the m1

the new Ryzen 5000 mobile chips are really good but the Ryzen 5000u chips that use 15watts doesn't even come close to the M1 in Single core performance
the H series does but uses far more power
the M1 isn't even designed to have good Multi core it's a 4core CPU with 4 other slower cores for battery optimization
the competition for the higher core 5000 U/H/Desktop chips will be coming out later this year with the new Macs and they are going to be faster than most if not all of the Ryzen chips
Apple is ahead of AMD in TSMCs production cause they pay the most, they get the new nm processes first then AMD then Nvidia and Qualcomm
also Apple is just ahead of the competition in making more efficient and faster chips if you compare them to Qualcomm or Nvidia's 7nm ARM SOCs

Lol, but this is laptops.
For me it’s Mac Laptop with M1 chip and Windows Desktop with AMD CPU.
Intel is ass now.

Imagine not appreciating the greatness of the M1 no matter which side of the aisle you’re on

Real
That performance + battery life combo is undeniable on a technical level, regardless of the OS
Just wait till they also start throwing dGPUs into the Pro machines. S*** is going to be ridiculous.
