Marty CraneOnly big artist that this really makes sense for is Cole. None of these corny pundits would know if it was Kendrick and a bajillion more(especially akademiks) would be teasing it if it was Drake(plus a surprise drop after all the promo streams would be odd).
A rollout after last year's embarrassment wouldn't be in Cole's best interest plus he could do all the usual PR afterwards, especially if it is received well.

Side B it was widely known he was working on it and dropping soon for months, then album cover leaked a few days early due to an exploit in apple for artists website
