Teaching sucks cause parents don't parent anymore and the school systems now have to deal with capitalism and favoritism

If your school mostly services privileged kids and there is parent support then your job is most likely a breeze compared to any teacher teaching in an underfunded public school

Most kids these days don't respect them
Tiktok and short content is making them worse to teach
They get paid like s***
Teachers can't catch a break.

My mom was a teacher. I always thought I do end up teaching too but it wasnt for me.

It gets wayyyy easier the longer you’ve been doing it. I remember coming home burnt tf out from teaching all day, only to have to spend hours at night planning the next day. Then hours on the weekend. Also helps so much finding your systems that work, and gaining confidence.

Cannot fathom teaching at an underprivileged school. People that do that and do it well are f***ing superheroes.

I was also just thinking a few weeks ago about how schools in the South have HORRRIBLE teacher pay and also horrible schools. Don’t know who in their right mind would do that for such horrible pay.

Can’t you get fired for f***ing on a student as a college professor?
