aotydogDeath sentence? They are going to kill him? I know life sentence is that you are going to rot in jail all your life but are they still killing people in America in 2023 I thought the death sentence was removed in like the 80s or something, what am I missing, just curious and trying to understand

Around 1500 people have been executed in US since 1990, with 250 executed since 2013 and 10 people have been executed in 2023 so far and currently there is about 2500 people on death row in US

every state has different laws. america is bigger than the EU so think of how diverse the EU is and the difference in laws. there are some decisions some states have. like think about your ability to carry a weapon in london versus switzerland. some areas in america it is easy to get a gun but where i live it’s so hard to a gun most people i know give up. some states allow the death penalty where i live it doesn’t exist
