I feel like it would stress me out less if people didn’t hate each other over it. Right now I dont’t even post anything political because I know I’d be pissing somebody off and whatever I said would get spun. I just want people not to be divided based on their political opinions. Just respect each other.

I think debating is fun, it allows me to practice my chops and to put my own beliefs to scrutiny, to see what I can improve on.

People on this forum debate to argue not debate to learn

Some are cool and argue in good faith but it's just like..

most of these dudes on here are misinformed and think their opinion is actually theirs

But most of the time their opinion was given to them through American schooling or the news and they argue through general platitudes instead of critical a***ysis
