This, the A Lot music video coupled with what was happening with 21 savage, and the NBA All-Star weekend performance really made it one of the biggest rap moments of the last decade. i forgot the article or interview, but when cole came out during either kendricks tour stop in detroit (i think in 2017?), he wanted to recreate a track/anthem like no role modelz after failing to do so and seeing kendrick do it with almost the entire DAMN. album. I'll look for the interview but I think it was solely a hit to be a hit
