The Dark Knight - $1.009 billion
If the movie's good, the title won't have any effect on the performance

Also I think it's cool when sequels have a fresh title rather than just being numbered or subtitled

Gonna safely guess about the same if not a bit over. A lot can change in a year but I feel like this has basically the same hype level as SM, and international audiences are likely to still drag.
The goodwill of "check out our new Superman and DCU!" is worn off now but could be replaced with "look at our multi-character event!" Still need a compelling and gripping marketing run more than anything. Audience loyalty and carryover isn't guaranteed
Release schedule also feels a bit like 2025. Shrek 5 (could be huge) covers holiday weekend right before MoT, and WB (why?!?) is releasing Minecraft (sequel to its biggest 2025 film) 2 weeks after.

Yeah it had the meme boost and just the ridiculousness that they made a live action Minecraft movie. Not sure a sequel where people know what to expect from it will hit the same
That being said s*** was hilarious to me. Lowkey one of the better comedies we’ve had. Jack Black and Mamoa were having fun on that set
