if people are gonna p****foot around and say “oh but the board” then ok. it doesnt change the fact that ole is a s*** manager. its time people stop deflecting and making excuses. i’ve made several posts on why he is s*** and what he does wrong. he is our manager because he used to play for us. get rid.

Whatever limited/hindered JM or LVG is going to be the same thing that plagues Poch. Nothing will improve till Woodward/judge are fired.

If we're to survive relegation this season we'll need Big Sam

  • Nov 5, 2020

Mourihno managed to finish 2nd, Ole isn't going to achieve that this season.

I don't think he's entirely at fault because they clearly didn't want to go in for his top targets in the summer but he's clearly not good enough tactically

look, if they keep ole or fire him, im indifferent. I dont think it'll change much. poch comes in, does good for some stretches and bad for other stretches, then has woodward fumble every transfer as evidenced by last 8 years, and we'll be looking for the next manager in 2022.

this has been the pattern thats been followed and poch is on par with mourinho, so there needs to be other changes other than manager for this to work.

  • Nov 6, 2020

pogba really gonna walk for barely anything

Mail: Paul Pogba could be set for a summer move to Real Madrid after Manchester United reportedly dropped their asking price to as little as €60m (£53m).

there are way better coaches. we cant just accept ole when he isn’t a good one. i get what you are saying about the board but coaches like Hasenhuttl, Rose, Nagelsmann are better let alone the obvious one which is Poch. at the very least they get more out of our players.

not all coaches and managers will react the way jose did in that 3rd season, which was the problem. jose was already being criticised when we finished 2nd. then he was not going to be backed and he knew that he was again going to be blamed for not being close enough to city when in truth the squad wasn’t strong enough. whereas the problem with ole is, he just isn’t suitable to me managing this calibre of player, im sorry.

I don’t know who the first two are. Nagelsman isn’t leaving leipzig mid season and isn’t getting hired after losing 5-0 either. Oh and he’s a child he’s not getting this job. So really it’s just poch, or allegri. I’m not excited by either and think they’re wrong hires.

Again I’d rather wait till the summer when more options available.

you dont know the southampton manager? Rose is at gladbach. who cares if nagelsmann lost 5-0. you consider what he has done over a span of time at it is very good work.

what options will there be in the summer that is different to now? all poor excuses to keep a poor coach in charge

Literally only Poch and allegri would come now. Nobody is leaving their club mid season to join United. If there is a coach in mind then waiting to get him is better than settling for Poch or allegri if they’re not first choice

not sure poch would be setting. he is first choice for a lot of people. i dont want to be playing europa football again either and that is what ole is going to get us

I've been Ole out since he came into the club, moments we look good been reliant on individual performances. Like 80/20.
After two years I still don't know what gameplan Ole got for this team.

You could argue he doesn't get the players he wants, yes. The board is s***e, yes. But the team is not short on quality players. Teams with 1/4 of our quality at least know how to construct game from the back and don't resort only to counter-attack and deposit their bets on 3-4 players being unplayable on their day.

We are giving Ole too much time to learn on the job and he doesn't have the same portfolio Mourinho or LvG had. We're almost on relegation zone, the tactics and training need to change.

    DDG
    AWB-Lind-Arry-Shaw
    Matic-Pog
    Greenwood-Bruno-Rash
    Martial

but. I think no way Greenwood or pogba will start. so we'll see.

At this point, I’m kind of convinced that whoever we get isn’t going to make much of a difference. Pochettino, Nagelsmeme, Hasenhuttl, Allegri, Rose — whoever. There’s just so much going wrong with the club from a fundamental level that we’d need someone to come in with a Klopp-like effect and just have everything he touch turn to gold.

My biggest concern is the manager coming in and not being given full licence over his squad. A progressive manager who wants to play a high line, heavy pressing, selfless football? So many senior names in the side currently — Maguire, Matic, Shaw, most likely Pogba etc. — would have no real role in such a set-up.

Would our incompetent board allow a manager to make such calls? I sincerely doubt it.

I think we’ll let Ole stagger to an undignified end once top 4 is mathematically impossible, and then reactively bring in Pochettino or Allegri solely because they’re big names who are available.

you can sign a different profile of DM and work from there. a good coach will deal with deficiencies in the squad. the board isn’t ideal but we have to do something. i was against the hounding of jose, but ole is nowhere near good enough. its been that way since early 2019.

Oh, I completely agree that Solskjaer isn’t good enough and he absolutely isn’t doing enough from a tactical perspective to get the best out of this side. He needs to go, no denying that.

I’m just lamenting more generally — I just feel quite defeated/pessimistic in general about how mediocre we are. It’s just a constant feeling of Deja Vu — sign a manager who starts well before nosediving, and then rinse and repeat.

Wonder if this is what being a bin dipper was like until the late 2010s.

there has to be patience from the fans with the next coach for sure, so long as it isn’t an ole tier appointment.

coaches who have shown what they can do at previous clubs deserve time and backing. whoever we appoint will have some bad results along the way.
