Tbf English media has had an agenda throughout this whole process + downplaying its legitimacy when the club is not yet ready to announce is logical.

But I largely agree with your statement.

It's more than just Qatar outlets saying, but they're likely just as unreputable.

Those British media maybe biased but some of them have been proven to be reliable again and again over the years. While some random Qatar sources have been saying their deal was done at least 20 times over the last 3 months when it was very clear they weren’t anywhere close.

When reliable British media report something it’s PR

But when some random Qatar Twitter account with no background posts something it’s gospel.

    This fanbase is deluded

It’s very clear nothing has been decided yet

I can’t stand the Qatar cocksucking tbh. I know it’s better than the SJR + Glazers combo, but it’s still awful

No moral billionaires so who cares

I do find the anti Qatar sentiment and cries about money pretty ironic considering how much everybody has been on City and Newcastle's d***s this season. But we're always criticised more for being United.

We can't be keeping the Glazers on in any way at this point, they've been doing the club like the Tories have done the NHS.

Again, I agree with all of that, but this time it's more than just a random Qatari journalist tweeting out a picture of a Qatar/Manchester United flag and saying some dumb s*** like "March 30"

Wall Street insiders said days ago that it was going to be Qatar, and that was then followed by English reports that Qatar were back in contention after their most recent bid.

Sunday night a bunch of accounts who aren't connected to Qatar started tweeting out that Qatar had won.

Then yesterday newspapers in Qatar start reporting it, sure they are heavily connected to Al-Thani, but it's interesting timing at the very least. This was followed by another Wall Street insider leak saying once again that it was going to be Qatar, and then yesterday evening the share price spiked.

It could all still be bullshit but this is much bigger than anything we've had previously with Qatar. There's legitimate, tangible reaction to what has previously only been online Twitter hype.

I'm inclined to believe there's a fire somewhere amongst all this smoke.

Well this City treble did absolutely nothing to me and the whole world was screaming how football is officially dead now that City won the CL. I do agree that a lot of the media and clubs are biased as f***, they should focus more on bringing Newcastle and City down than prevent us from joining them

Yeah I think there’s something to it as well, but can’t stand the ppl calling every reliable source PR, while Qatari sources literally owned by the ones making the bid are seen as unbiased reliable journalism. But the markets are moving so there is probably some other s*** indicating something is about to happen.

Isn’t mbappe good at striker? I think rash would stay LW

he doesn't like playing there, he prefers LW

and Rashy prefers ST so it kinda makes sense

i think IF you get Mbappe you need to do something different in midfield, because you won't get the work rate defensively with him..

Well the idea is Qatar is rich as f*** and will give us money to compete

The sole purpose of football is to win & Qatar will put us in the best place to do that

So it makes sense to me

the thing is we don't even need the money

initially yeah we will need an injection for the immediate squad, stadium ect but after that when we get back to the top we can run ourselves

The United fan-Ronaldo fanboy/LUHG archetype got to be the most miserable group of people on the planet lmao. They hate everybody currently involved in the club, they have an endless smugness because they associate with winners, but the winners they love so much aren't winning anymore either. So they just reminisce over old Ronaldo/Mourinho s*** (and some United stuff for good measure) and moan about Ten Hag and Rashford all day
