Who’s the Manchester United growing concerned they speak of?

Would you rather £100m for Ferguson or like £110 for Osi? I'd go with Ferguson from what I've seen. Still only 18.

    Osimhen, easy

I don’t rate Ferguson anywhere near as highly as you guys

    cmon now

if only 10m is the difference then you have to go osimhen every day of the week

ferguson is a massive talent but 100m for a player who played barely an entire season in professional football is super exaggerated

Love Ferguson but combination of Brighton tax + United tax and being 18-19 leading the line is a scary amount to overcome. Even if we think he has the goods it's much too big of a risk for a team that's already had a fair few swings and misses recently. Oshimen would be the youngish, proven goalscorer immediately that's desperately needed. You can't guarantee he'll score 25+ goals like Kane but he's someone you can see do it immediately with decent confidence, as opposed to someone preparing for their second season as a pro

Osi. Ferguson should be max like 60m imo and even that is a big asking price all things considered.

  • Jun 16, 2023

I don't think Ferguson should be our first choice but if we're beaten to and/or priced out of other strikers, getting him for like 50m as a backup for Rashford would be a good signing imo.

My only concern is that we tend to let down promising youngsters and they never seem to quite reach their potential for us post-Fergie.

I don't know what's up with Oshimen though. All these other strikers getting quoted for 80m+, which sadly makes sense considering Darwin N fee last year (and more obvious United and Chelsea business ). He seems like the clear choice if Italian Levy has softened and it's in the low 100m, remove him and it's a bit of a crapshoot to me. Not that I've been watching "Hojlund" or even Kolo Muani extensively

  • Jun 16, 2023

Why we talking Ferguson. He signed a new contract just a few weeks back.

Doesn't seem to have any intention of leaving Brighton just yet. And rightly so. Let him develop there. No point pinning a massive transfer fee on him and increased competition and pressure.

    i agree with this

we are being priced out of a move for all these average strikers

so if we have to spend around 100 milly anyway id rather just stretch it and get Oshiman

so wary about his injury record though, pls lord we don't need another Martial

Guess I’m on Ferguson island by myself. Noted to come back to this a year from now.

Personally, I don’t think Osi is all that and clearly is injury prone. Ferguson looks like young Haaland in the making, and with a full season leading like for Brighton can see him bang 15 goals next season.

Damn, was Martial the last actually young, promising striker we've signed?! Besides that it's just been ageing stopgaps right or am I forgetting someone?

    Lukaku.

    Our strikers post RVP:

    Ronaldo (36)
    Cavani (34)
    Ighalo (30)
    Lukaku (24)
    Ibrahimovic (34)
Falcao (28, but he literally came off the back of a huge ACL injury)

Falcao being 28 is absolutely mental, feels like he was another proper retirement home signing

Falcao had me going crazy when that was announced, never been so excited for a player

the guy was a monster ..before his injury anyway

And yeah Falcao was more like 35.

We’ll genuinely play wolves with Martial and Marcus being our only options

Can’t wait for Twitter to try and convince itself it’s martial’s year again
