Problem is we could easily get Mount for 50/55 if we walk away and come back near the end of the window, but then he got no preseason with us again
This is a stupid way to go about business. If they don’t accept the offer, move on. Waiting until the end of the transfer window and bending over doesn’t look good.
Big if, but if the ETH/DDG story is true he’s signed his own death warrant
Really hope he’s not that f***ing stupid
I say we save the money and just take the time to properly mould Van De Beek.
Crying lmao
Keep seeing this narrative get pushed (by Goldbridge of course) that realistically we can't afford to go out and get a top GK when we have to get a ST/CB/two midfielders.
A new GK is way way more important than a CB and at least one of the two midfielders, maybe even both.
The only position that could be prioritized over GK is a striker and even that can be argued imo.
Most of what we do this Summer won't even matter much if we still have De Gea in goal.

100% agree.
With a solid, ball-playing goalkeeper, I'm sure we'll build on last season already. If I had to choose between keeping DeGea and getting Kane or Osimhen, or keeping Martial and getting Onana, I'd choose Kane or Osi though and keeping DeGea though.
Realistically, we can get Onana and get another striker (would be incredibly surprised if we got either Kane or Osi just bc of money).
45 for Sancho
40 for Maguire
40 for McTominay
15 for Henderson
It really feels like we’re just throwing out numbers

They’re fair I gave roughly same last week - those are £
if we start selling I think we could afford either. all these can be sold without a replacement needed:
De Gea released (assuming onana comes in)
VDB €15M
Elanga €20M
Bailly €5M
Telles €5M
Henderson €15M
Sancho €30M
€90ish mil and I think these are super conservative figures too. but big if on our ability to sell anyone anymore. use that 90 on Kane, or stretch it to get Osi
I was more conservative
None of these journos have a f***ing clue what’s going on
On of them said Jadon was staying and can fight for his place, other one says 45m
This guy can do both
thats my gk
I’m gonna be real, it might be Stockholm syndrome, but I’ve warmed to the idea of Adrien Rabiot a lot
I think replacing McFred with Rabiot + Mount/Caicedo whilst not the ideal two players I’d have in mind, is a definite upgrade.
Downgrade Eriksen to a rotational player, and a midfield five of like:
Bruno; Casemiro; Mount/Caciedo; Rabiot; Eriksen;
(Mainoo in the cut)

Think rabiot has signed an extension
Why does it feel like the club doesn't think about potential targets/players until the window starts/is halfway done
Why does it feel like the club doesn't think about potential targets/players until the window starts/is halfway done
Bc they probably don't, they need to be pulling off something massive behind the scenes to prove us wrong bc atm it just looks like a clear lack of strategy.

Rabiot for depth on a free would be good imo
