Exactly the thing I’m saying, ppl are creaming their pants over John Murthough getting in 2 necessities and Hojlund, then when we’re out of the title race in a few months ppl are gonna be crying about us not having any depth and having to rely on a 20 yo striker and Johnny Evans when it has been clear for this whole time we’re gonna be running into those problems.

The fact people were talking about John Murthough like he’s some god 2 weeks ago, when he’s the main man holding us back is disgusting. If we’re shelling out 60 mil for Hojlund why not go for a more proven goal scorer ? The FFP excuse is bullshit when you got players like Maguire, McTominay, Sancho that we are unwilling (or in the case of Murthough incompetent) to sell, while those players can def add that extra 70 mil that would get us a top top striker and a decent CB. Not even against the Hojlund signing, but that kid can not be relied on as our main source of goals next season.
