The fact we’re constantly getting reports: United value player x at y million and then constantly paying something wildly different is comical
£55m Mount
£44m Onana
Both two very reasonable figures that are in line with what was being touted all along.
Hojlund at £64m excluding potential add ons. Is what it is. We always knew they were demanding a lot for him. And they just get to in this current market. Has a super high ceiling, would rather buy a player than miss out. One good season and it's not gonna look like a lot at all.
Telles and Elanga have gone for perfectly fine fees. Iqbal's gone for low but has potential to make us a lot.
Fred's got one year on his contract and is worth about €25m at very very tops. Fulham has been sniffing around but it doesn't seem they actually want to bid. Wait till he actually leaves before we start debating his transfer fee.
All our players have high wages. So in order to get rid you have to offset their transfer fee a bit in order to allow the buying club to fund relative wages adequately. I'd rather just get rid of a player than have them sitting around another season over 5 million or some s***. And maybe Fred just prefers Galatasaray, in which case so be it, the player has to agree on their departure too.
We haven’t sold a player for a decent price since Lukaku…
Dan James, Smalling.
Pereira went for what seemed a very reasonable fee at the time. He's proved better than that but we couldn't exactly ask for more.
Always interesting regarding sales. Just shows we put up with and reward what most clubs won’t even touch.
Don’t think we could get more for nearly anyone we’ve sold.
Where they play, if they play.
Agenda is unreal, who came up w those prices lol
What do you mean?

This is some bullshit cus a few months ago lots of people were yapping about how we got all these ex man United players playing in the Champions League and Europa League finals and ppl were making XI’s of former active players that were supposed to be better than our current team. Mind you we sold most of these players for next to nothing.
What do you mean?
We did not pay over €65 million for Martinez and over €82 million for Casemiro. Right?
This fail comp is killing me because at a certain point they just start throwing in him forcing saves/hitting the bar from crazy angles.

Yeah and most people doing that were trophy logic imbeciles.
Darmian was an 18m investment. Found his level once we’d lost 16m on him and plays in Italy.
Telles, same thing. Not to say some players we’ve shifted are better than what we’ve got. Smalling potentially being one of those.
Current squad is full of players that at any other club at the level we should be at would be shipped off. We’re in the game of giving Fernandes a bumper contract after half a good first season.
Isn’t this the summer of exile? Getting rid of the dross? Last time I checked 98% of it is still employed or getting a new contract.
Manager let a free agent go though, so can’t fault the ruthlessness.

Casemiro, Lisandro and Eriksen on a free, great business even if Eriksen did cost us in big games (potentially overused to be honest)
3/5 is not bad going
Jury is out on the new ones obviously, purely from a positional standpoint it’s very good
Pre season means nothing, Sancho looked great last pre season and was mid all regular season.

https://twitter.com/TenHagEra/status/1686376651268235264💯 it was a terrible ‘fail’ comp most were good self made opps / runs / turns / etc
Gvardiol + Dias + Stones

Akanji + Laporte + Ake as backups even crazier

pretty sure we did - these figures seem right in GBP.
Gvardiol + Dias + Stones

We can’t compete
The right course for the Greenwood situation is so clear. Loan him to some serie a team and sell him after

I reckon he'll go to Turkey
Really interested in how we’re gonna play with Hojlund up top
Same but it’ll take like 3 months at least to see changes imo.
November post international break is when we’ll cook

Ngl hope we hit the ground running earlier since we got a lot of hard games early in the season. Would be a shame to be out of a title race within the first ten games.
